Discover the history of cheese at “Talk Curdy To Me” at Tasting Australia. Enjoy a glass of wine and learn some great cheesy stories!

history of cheese

So here’s a little something I’ve been keeping under my cap – my friend Kris Lloyd the Woodside Cheese Wright and I are talking all about the history of cheese at Tasting Australia!

Join us both on Friday May 6 at 8.00pm in the University of Adelaide Masterclass Pavillion in the Town Square at Talk Curdy To Me, for a deeper look at cheese.

This is a fun session and, like our session last year at Cheesefest, it’s a chance for you to take some time out and learn how cheese developed and evolved.  It’s been a fascinating 7,000 year journey to get to the enormous range of tasty and varied cheeses we enjoy today. We will look at how such a simple product diversified and became distinctly localised in different parts of the world, touching on production techniques and the role of cheese in world history.

And of course we will be eating it too – you will be tasting a range of different cheese types, along with a refreshing glass of delicious Prosecco.

If you missed us at Cheesefest, or if you want to learn even more about the history of cheese, we’d love you to join us! We will be onstage for one session only – on Friday 6 May at 8.00pm.

Get your tickets here.
