I always get very excited when I come across something that I truly and seriously love – whether that be a book, a new idea, a special dish or a great kitchen tool. I just can’t wait to share my finds, but I would never mention or endorse anything by name or brand here on my blog that I didn’t use and enjoy myself.
Such was the case a few weeks back when I boasted of the haul of the amazing Silpat Baking Mats that I brought back from the United States. These amazing mats are totally, completely and utterly non-stick. They are safe from temperature range of -40°C to 250°C, freezer, microwave and oven safe, wipe clean, never need greasing, conform to Australian food regulations on food grade silicone, are extraordinarily durable and can be used thousands of times. They come in a range of sizes and I wouldn’t bother using anything else as a baking sheet since I discovered them.
Everten Online is one of my favourite on-line shopping haunts for all things kitchen related and this week those very cuddly folk have given me two size 13″x18″ – perfect for a cookie tray – of these brilliant baking basics to give away.
