Suddenly it’s cookbook news time again, and the year is almost done! Read on for a wonderfully generous sharing cookbook selection to see this year out.
It’s a wee bit scary how quickly each months cookbook news rolls around – it seems like yesterday I was launching this Facebook group back in March, and now it’s time for December’s cookbook club selection!
I’d love to keep growing this group, so please share the cookbook news, this post, and the Lambs’ Ears Cookbook Club Facebook link with all your friends – the more, the more merrier.
Okay cookbook fiends – I’m going to keep this fairly short, as I’m at the beach on vacation and there’s a gin and tonic with my name on it out on the deck, right next to my book. ?
October’s selection of Every.Night.Of.The.Week has been hugely popular. It’s been great seeing all of your delicious creations. I knew I’d love it when I first saw it, so I’m so glad that you all do too. I think it’s definitely a keeper, and a few recipes in it – like a couple of those salad dressings – will become staples in our house.
In current cookbook news, November’s selection is, as I’m sure you all know, Sophie Hansen’s In Good Company, so grab a copy before next week because we will kick off with it from Monday. This is another cookbook that will find its way into the hearts of many of you. With most of us out of lockdown and keen to enjoy the finer weather, there’s going to be plenty in this cookbook to inspire some wonderfully delicious gatherings.
To continue sharing the congeniality through the Christmas silly-season, I think you’re all going to be interested in December’s selection – Miguel Maestre’s Feast.
Something of a household name now in Australia, Miguel is originally from the south of Spain. He’s been appearing on Australian food TV for over 10 years, and has a distinct talent for incorporating Spanish ingredients and cooking styles into his Australian menus.
Absolutely perfect for the Christmas social scene, Feast is full of big, generous dinners, and lots of smaller dishes that are ideal to serve as share plates. Whether you’re getting together with friends or family for a holiday brunch, looking for something fast for a spontaneous weeknight get-together, or looking to try some new dishes for a family celebration, there are heaps bold and exciting flavours to explore here.
Don’t forget we have a year long selection, Alice Zaslavsky’s In Praise of Veg for you to cook from, and you can share your pictures from any of the previous cookbook selections on ‘Throw-back Thursdays’.
