My life and this little bloglet are both about to get another minor shake-up as I hit the road again – to somewhere just a little bit different this time, and utterly new to me.
On Friday I jet off to Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, as part of a small delegation on a European Union-sponsored trip hosted by the Bulgarian Dairy Association, looking at the dairy industry in Bulgaria. As per usual, I’ll be bringing you all along with me as we tour around local Bulgarian dairy farms, some of the ancient archaeological sites of Bulgaria, Plovdiv (one of the world’s oldest cities) and the capital Sofia – and, of course, any of the delicious local foodie finds that I can sniff out.
After we leave Bulgaria we will be kicking our heels up in Istanbul for a week – and I just know we are going to find some wonderful treats there. Also as usual, I’ll be taking lots of pictures – some will appear here, but lots will be on my Instagram account. If you want to keep up with those you can follow me here.
So buckle up kiddies – it’s going to be a long drive!

Wow! Can’t wait to read all about it (and follow the adventures on social media!). Enjoy your trip!
What an incredible adventure – it will blow your little sockies off I am sure !
Excited to follow along Amanda 🙂
I’ll definitely enjoy following along on your journey as those are two places I have never been. The church is gorgeous xx
You will LOVE this trip. It will be a far cry from your Canadian trip but you’ll love it. Eat some Bulgarian “white cheese” for me. I don’t think I ever had a meal there that didn’t include it.
You might inquire if they have “A slap in the face” on the menu. LOL Maybe that’s only served in the country cafes. 🙂
I’m looking forward to living vicariously through your Instagram photos! I’m sure you are going to have a fantastic time.
