It’s almost time for Words To Go 2016 – Australia’s only FREE food/travel bloggers conference.

Adelaide's words to go 2016

Adelaide’s fabulous food festival, Tasting Australia, is now only a few months away and that means it’s also almost time for Words To Go 2016 – the exciting culinary travel bloggers conference hosted by the South Australian Tourism Commission as part of Tasting Australia. A fortunate group of Australian food and travel bloggers were lucky enough to be chosen to attend this event when it was first held during Tasting Australia 2014 and they – and many others – will be keen to know that registrations for Words To Go 2016 are about to open very soon.

Words To Go offers select participants an exclusive opportunity to network with their peers, learn from national and international leaders in the fields of writing, photography, social media, IT and blogging and gives them a taste of the exciting South Australian culinary scene. We aim to send participants home with new skills, new friends and full bellies – and it is all absolutely FREE for those selected to attend. All the delegates need to do is get themselves to Adelaide and find a bed.

Speakers

I’m extremely proud to once again be Program Director for this unique event and aim to build on our strong and popular program of 2014.  This year we will feature presentations from James beard Award-winner and New York Times best-selling author Mark Kurlansky, respected Australian travel writer Max Anderson – who has 20 years of travel writing up his sleeve and writes for The Age, Sydney Morning Herald, Gourmet Traveller and National Geographic Traveller (UK) and Dr. Roger Haden, Academic Director at the very distinguished Le Cordon Bleu, Adelaide, who are presenters of the Le Cordon Bleu Master of Gastronomic Tourism.

Delegates will get the heads-up on some of the technical side of things from Thang Ngo, Managing Director of Sydney’s IDENTITY Communications and writer/publisher of the culinary travel blog Noodlies, learn how Jennifer Lam turned her blog I Ate My Way Through into a full-time  career and meet Adelaide niche blogger Jacquie Lim, whose goal of eating at all of the Australian Gourmet Traveller’s Top 100 restaurants caught the eye of the folks at Gourmet Traveller and resulted in an invitation to the Top 100 dinner in Sydney!

Competition

Words To Go 2016 is especially pleased to announce an exciting partnership with Canon Australia this year and delegates will have the chance to win the fabulous Canon G7X, valued at over $800.

Registration

There’s all this – and much more – at Words To Go 2016, still the only FREE food/travel bloggers conference in Australia. Make sure you bookmark our web page so you don’t miss out on all the registration details to be announced later this week.

I went to a S.A. event the other day and it sounds like there’s a lot happening in your state this year! 🙂
