So, who am I?
Hi, I’m Amanda McInerney, a food and travel writer who lives on a small acreage in the Adelaide Hills, in South Australia, with my family and some Black Angus cattle.
I began this blog back in 2010, generally as a way to keep track of some favourite recipes, introduce you to some of my favourite food producers and the issues that affect them, and to share my travel adventures.
It’s led me to some pretty amazing experiences, enhancing my skills in food and travel writing, event management, food production advocacy and social media marketing – and the creation of Australia’s first online cookbook club.
However, my first love is still the telling of food stories along with the sharing of excellent cookbooks. I use the understanding I gained studying the Le Cordon Bleu Graduate Certificate in Gastronomy, and Le Cordon Bleu Advanced Studies in Taste, to bring a solid knowledge base and professional expertise to my food and travel writing.
What will you find here?
You won’t find restaurant reviews here, and you’ll rarely find general recommendations for products unless I’ve tried them personally and believe in them. What I do offer is experienced, authoritative, trustworthy food and travel writing.
When I’m not writing I can generally be found eating, occasionally baking, often reading contemporary literature, or feeding my chickens.
Sign up to the blog using the subscription box at the top of this page and you won’t miss any of my stories, or follow me on Facebook, Instagram to keep up with where I am and what I’m doing.
If you are looking for a freelance food or travel writer with an engaged and authentic audience to tell your story, I’m your woman.
Lastly, if you have a food story you’d like me to share on the blog, I’d love to hear from you. Just drop me a line at amanda (@) lambsearsandhoney (.) com and I promise I’ll check it out.
